Mr. Love has almost 26 years of experience in information technology and has worked as an operator, systems administrator, database administrator, network engineer, programmer and web developer, and project/program manager. He has experience on IBM mainframe, Sun UNIX, and Microsoft Windows platforms. Mr. Love retired from the Air Force Reserves in the rank of Major as a Communications and Information Officer after 21 years of service on Active Duty and in the Reserves. He holds a Masters of Business Administration from Averett University, a BA in Computer Science from Thomas Edison State College, and two associate degrees as well. He is a Certified E-Commerce Consultant and a Microsoft Certified Database Administrator. He holds a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI) and has experience deploying Information Technology solutions to several Government organizations using PMI and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) processes. Mr. Love’s education, certifications, and experience allow him to be effective in any information technology area.
Mr. Love is the Director of the Force 3, Inc. Federal Services Program Management Office where he manages and provides oversight for Operational Support and digital dental solution contracts and employees, leads the development of the structure needed to standardize Force 3 project management practices, and provides Federal Services business development support. He has been with Force 3 since May of 2006. Mr. Love provides executive leadership for over 113 employees working at 24 Federal sites.
Mr. Love supports the community by serving as a founding board member and former chairman of the Unity Economic Development Corporation (www.unityedc.org), a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization that provides foreclosure, homeownership, and financial literacy counseling. Recently, he founded Gospel’s Grace, Inc. (www.gospelsgrace.org), a nonprofit corporation that promotes Christian and gospel charity benefit concerts. He is the editor of the Gospel’s Grace eZine, Sin No More, and he writes for The Vine News, a DC Metro area Christian newspaper. He sings in “Another Group,” an a cappella quartet-style gospel group, participating in performances at venues throughout Washington, DC, Maryland, Virginia, and Delaware. Mr. Love has sponsored or promoted almost a dozen gospel events in the DC Metro area. Mr. Love has served in several church offices, including membership on the Steward Board, president of the Men’s Ministry, and as president of the computer ministry for Union Bethel AME Church in Brandywine, MD. And best of all, Mr. Love is married to Pam Carey Love. Byron, Pam, and their three children, Christian, Alycia, and Aliyah reside in Odenton, MD.
